Balmain

There's more to Balmain, than those exxagerated shoulder pads. I was so impressed with their Mens 2010 S/S lookbook. The Jeans with the boots, the jumpers and most of all their leather jackets. Amazing collection

State Of Emergency... by Steven Meisel

Heavy Knit

As a kid I hated how oppressive heavy-knit jersey's were, but I find myself being drawn to them more and more now. I got myself a blue jersey with a similar patter, although i love the collar on this S.N.S Herning Spark Jumper. I'd like to see this over a white shirt/black skinny tie combo.

Sneakers

I'm not a big fan of high-top sneakers, especially the colourful ones. However, once in a while I do spot a pair that I'd wear myself. I like this pair of Vans vault-mountain-editions, because of how versatile they are, I'd wear them with a Plaid shirt, dark blue jeans and a thick woollen jersey.

Colour

After a conversation I had with a friend yesterday, I realised just how little colour i experiment with. Yet it's the very same thing that always makes the ladies and lad's on the sartorialist look so modern and daring. Time to make a change. I like these colourful shoes, I'll try a pair of colourful loafers first.

Chunky

My very good friend recently decided she'd knit her own scarf because there's not many places you can get a really huge chunky scarf, especially in navy and grey. It's perfect for keeping warm in winter but most of all it just really looks good. P.S. The scarf, leather jacket combo is definitely worth trying too

Brown and Blue

I recently purchased a pair of brown wing-tipped shoes, and i must admit that before my purchase I'd always veered away from brown/tan shoes. This is the perfect example of how shoes can make your whole look classy and different. Try it out

Boat Shoe

Here's an old classic, the Sebago boat shoe accompanied by a modern take on it by Vans (canvas). Very comfortable and classy

Trussardi 1911 Fall 2010

I've never been so singularly impressed by one collection since the days i first discovered men.style.com ,however this collection caught my eye and imagination by displaying classically effortless clothing that is fitted and appealing.

Mark Weaver

Camo SS 2010 Collection

This collection stood out for me because of how they managed to update classic ideas and present them in a refreshing way. Really preppy, elegant and seemingly comfortable

Bag Lady

I'm a firm believer that men should also carry bags/briefcases/whatever it may be that complement their outfits and not stand out for all the wrong reasons. These laptop bags by TravelTeq are petite and elegant, perfect for any gentleman

Rock n Rolla

I'm a big fan of everything British, the people, music, club culture and especially the fashion. The tailoring on this is impeccable and i love how the usual stuffy suit is offset by this non-chalant swagger. This is Simon Spurr Fall 2010

Grace...

After watching the September issue, i'm a huge fan of Grace Coddington. I still love Anna, but grace dominated that film

Muted Noise

While venturing through the many pictures on Deviant Art, i was very moved by a particular contributors work, Mnmlst. His work captures the minimalist silence i love so much

Fall/Winter Africa

As we're clearly into Autumn in South Africa now, there's the exciting prospect of dressing for winter: the layers, colours and the chance to be slightly more put together. Here a few ideas...
